1984About 29 years ago, I’ve been seeing the lights of this beautiful world for the first time. I grow up in the capital city of Austria – Vienna, and live there until today. For about 8 years I’m doing design and development but actually I’m in the creative field my whole life.
1989It has all started as I was a young boy at the age of about 4 or 5 years, where I played LEGO and have build fantastic things (that’s what my father said at least). As the time went by I found myself always doing something creative – not simply creative but more with a logical and mathematical approach. I used to measure things and count colors instead of simply putting something together. In my class at school I was the best in creative arts, mathematic and technical drawing.
2000At the age of about 16 I left the school to start working at Renault – unfortunately not as a car mechanic as you may think, but as an office guy. As you may imagine this has bored me to death. Everyday making copies of copies and bringing coffee to the boss isn’t the real thing is it? That’s why I left this job someday to make something in a more creative field…like music.
2002I started to work as a DJ at the biggest club in austria and it was all good. I loved to play music for the masses and being creative with my line up. Especially with a focus on electronic dance music I was free to do pretty amazing stuff. Again, counting beats and taking a mathematical approach into consideration has pushed me up to do some exiting cross-overs and made me good in what I do.
2004After about 2 years I’ve decided to travel around. I wanted to see more of the world to get inspired and life an espirit which by the time I was seeking. I’ve moved to Mallorca (Spain), where I had a great time. I have meet different people with a different culture and a different way of life. As I was hired by a hotel club I’ve meet also many people from many other places on the world, especially many people from England. One generous family has then invited me to come with them to England and start playing as a DJ there – and that’s what I did. This is where I started to get even more in touch with Trance – a music genre which can be considered as a master class since doing cross-overs require a major portion of sensitivity.
2005About a year later I went back to my home country austria were I wanted to settle again. While I had a good time as a DJ I wanted to do something more. Making always party and meeting people was nice but it was turbulent as well. I was seeking for something more…peace and silence. And that is the time where I started to make my own projects. I started to design with grafic software and I also started to build websites. I had some experience from a few years ago where I’ve build some websites and promotional flyers for me and my colleagues but this time I wanted to create something special and earn a living from it.
2013Now after several years I can proudly call myself a (senior) designer, an entrepreneur and a creative mind. I’m running ANEX – a new media agency, and I work for many various clients. I’ve partnered up with a well-known studio (ThemeShift – a studio for wordpress themes) and work also on my own projects.
